ADF Airways, a leading provider in professional flight training services, located in Miami, FL, announced today that it has received FAA approval to conduct training for the Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate.

“We are excited to add this new course to our expanding list of options available to people who want to get into the aviation field. It represents an alternative step toward working in the airline industry without having to fly. The dispatcher certificate can also serve as a backup career path for pilots. If a pilot should lose their flight status due to medical issues, they can still work in the Airline Industry as Dispatchers”, said Yazmin Farkas, CEO of ADF Airways.

According to Alex Farkas, Chief Operations Officer, classes will begin in January, 2013 and will run for 4 days a week over a period of 13 weeks.  The proposed schedule will be Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  Students completing the course will be prepared to take the both the Aircraft Dispatcher Written and Practical examinations.

Aircraft Dispatchers normally work for Airlines as planners. Among other duties, they are responsible for gathering weather information, aircraft loading data, and flight tracking. Working with Airline Captains, dispatchers serve as a critical component to safely conducting airline flights.
