ADF offers a large variety of housing options ranging from rooms within family homes to fully furnished apartments. Our goal is to provide our students with a safe, clean, comfortable living space where they can focus on their studies and relax during breaks from training.
Individual rooms are priced at $600.00 per month. They include cable and internet service. Some of these rooms are furnished with microwaves and refrigerators. Rentals do not include meals. However, the student is –in some cases – allowed to use the in house kitchen to cook meals.
Room availability varies seasonally. The majority of the rooms are located within a 10 to 15 minute drive from the Kendal Tamiami airport.
Since availability is variable, if you are interested in renting a room you will need to let us know at least 15 days before your arrival date. Reservations for rooms can be found in your arrival registration packet, which is included with your I-20. Call (305) 233- 6648 or e-mail email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about the rooms.
If you are interested in renting an apartment or a house for the duration of your training, please feel free to call us.
There are many transportation options in the Miami area. The most common is a privately owned vehicle (P.O.V.). Some students choose to purchase a car, while others choose to share the expenses of a car while in training. Another popular student transportation option is to purchase scooters to get around Miami and get from temporary homes to ADF Airways. Please note that if you chose to operate a vehicle in Miami you will need a US driver’s license and insurance.
Other options include Miami’s busses or bicycling around the city. While some students take this option, ADF does not recommend busses or bicycles as a primary means of transportation.
There are many dining establishments close to the airport. Additionally, some restaurants will deliver food either to ADF or to your home. Miami has a variety of cultures and with that comes an even wider variety of dining options. Students can dine on anything from fast food (McDonalds, Burger King, etc.) to gourmet meals.
Please note that the average food, living and transportation expense while in training ranges from $1,000 to $1,200 per month. Your costs will vary depending on where you choose to live and how you choose to move about the city.
While no one wants to get sick or injured, having insurance is a great way to help offset any unforeseen medical expenses. ADF Airways strongly recommends that students purchase medical insurance either before traveling to the U.S. or immediately upon arrival in Miami. If you want to know about insurance plans available here in the U.S., please contact email@example.com
